Here's a project we are particularly proud of. These pictures are taken at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. They are of the new Icing Research Tunnel. This new construction replaces the existing building erected in 1941, winner of the Mechanical Achievement Award for Excellence. There are no aircraft, military or commercial, that can be airborne without first being tested in this tunnel. All the construction in the pictures below were detailed and fabricated in metric using all domestic material. This project was given to our detailing department in August of 1997, design and detail took well over a year, shop fabrication began January 1999, and all components were fabricated in approximately 3-4 months, weighing in at 213 tons.
